What a great way to spend the morning! I enjoy shooting commercial, and I enjoy it even more when I am already acquainted with my subject. Carolyn is a previous client of mine, and until now I have only had the privilege of photographing her children. I was so excited to have a chance to photograph this baby. Not only is he a darling, but he is the son of my precious friend J. I know this family feels so blessed to have Baby A as his birth is truly a miracle and a he is living proof that God is faithful and holds true to the promises He has for us. I love family sessions, especially HAPPY ones! This family was so fun and full of life, and they are also very special friends of ours. The session took place in Downtown Prattville, one of my most favorite locations, at sunset. These are just a few of the images I have edited. Many more to come later!! 
Late afternoon sessions are available for The Children’s Harbor on Sunday, May 1. The Children’s Harbor is a very unique location for portraits, and the water is up!
Jasmine Hill is open!!!!!! And I was there this weekend with a cutie who I have been photographing since he was 6 weeks!!!!! We played hide and seek and count your toes!! Who could ask for more fun on a Saturday morning.

This couple planned a few great ideas that really made their wedding their own. The signing of the shoes was fantastic!! What a great keepsake for the bride. The bride and groom also exchanged letters and read them before the ceremony. It was quite a task making sure Reid and Laura did not see one another, but we all managed to pull it off.
I love proofing the detail shots from weddings and especially enjoy converting them to black and white. This wedding was no exception. I am always intrigued at how a simple black and white conversion minimizes backgrounds and highlights the important elements in an image. The lace on the bride’s veil is so dramatic in black and white.

is my favorite part of photographing weddings. There is so much emotion BEFORE the ceremony, which can be seen and felt in the images.
Jason and Tara’s wedding was no exception. Tara made a BEAUTIFUL bride. The wedding venue was The Children’s Harbor at Lake Martin and the theme was winter wonderland.
